This Privacy Policy explains what Sidekickflow ("we," "us," or "our") collects when you use Friend Forecast (the "Service") and how we use it. Friend Forecast exists to hold a small, private space for you and your friends — the answers you write are personal, and this policy is written with that in mind.
Account information: your email address, display name, profile avatar, timezone, and language preference.
Your check-ins: your mood, your written reflections, and your answers to that cycle's questions. This is the most sensitive information the Service holds, and it's protected by the access rules in Section 3 below.
Pod and membership information: pod names, invite codes, who belongs to which pod, and each member's role.
Sharing activity: if you use the sharing feature, the email address you sent your response to, and a record of that send, kept to prevent abuse of the feature.
Waitlist signups: if you join the waitlist before creating an account, your name and email.
Email preferences: if you unsubscribe from a category of email, we keep a record of that address and category so we keep honoring it.
Technical data collected automatically: basic error and performance information — such as browser type and the state of the app at the moment something breaks — collected through our error-monitoring tool and used only to find and fix bugs.
To run the ritual itself: opening a cycle, reminding members who haven't answered, and revealing the pod's answers on schedule.
To send the emails the Service is built around — cycle-open, cycle-published, and shared-response emails — and to honor your unsubscribe choices before every send.
To authenticate you and keep your account secure, and to diagnose and fix errors.
We don't use your check-in answers for advertising, and we don't sell your data. There's no algorithmic feed and no public profile — nothing you write is visible to anyone outside your pod, or inside your pod before they've earned it.
Your check-in answers for a cycle become visible to a member of your pod only once that member has submitted their own answer for the same cycle, and only after the pod's reveal for that cycle has happened. This rule is enforced in our database, not only in the app you see — a member who never submits an answer never sees that cycle's pod answers.
Your answers are never visible outside your pod, with one exception: you may choose to send your own response to someone outside your pod, by email or link. That's your choice about your own words, never the pod's collective answers, and never something we initiate.
Supabase hosts our database and handles authentication. Resend delivers the emails the Service sends. Sentry provides error monitoring so we can catch and fix bugs, and may incidentally capture technical details like your browser and IP address at the moment of an error. Vercel hosts the application.
We don't sell or rent your information to anyone, and we don't share your check-in answers with any of the above beyond what's needed to host and run the Service.
We keep your account and pod data for as long as your account and pod stay active. If you ask us to delete your account, we'll remove your account information; content you contributed to a pod's history may remain visible to that pod's members under the access rules above, the same way it would in any group you were once part of.
Waitlist entries are kept until you sign up for an account or ask us to remove them. Unsubscribe records are kept indefinitely so we don't accidentally re-contact an address that opted out.
Every email from the Service includes an unsubscribe link, scoped to the kind of email it is — shared responses, cycle emails, or everything.
To access, correct, or delete your account information, email hello@forecast.sidekickflow.com. Friend Forecast is a small, early-stage project, so this is currently handled by request rather than a self-service control in the app.
The Service isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.
Access to pod answers is enforced at the database level (Row Level Security), not only in application code, and data is encrypted in transit. No service is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
We may update this policy as the Service changes. If we make a material change, we'll update the date above and, where practical, let you know.
